David Sipple is a Partner in the Savannah office and practices in the areas of Admiralty Law and Insurance Law.
Mr. Sipple is admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Georgia. He is a member of the Savannah Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Sipple also belongs to the Maritime Law Association of the United States in which he serves on the Committee on Marine Ecology and Criminal Law and the Committee on Marine Torts and Casualties; the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute in which he serves as Secretary; and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel in which he serves on the Maritime Law Committee.
He is the author of several articles on admiralty law published in the Mercer Law Review, and was a speaker on the topic of Eleventh Circuit, Sixth Circuit, and Eighth Circuit Review at the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute's 1995 and 2004 Continuing Legal Education seminars.
Mr. Sipple serves on the Board of Directors of the International Seamen's House and is a past president of the Propeller Club of the Port of Savannah. He also is a past president of the Hibernian Society of Savannah.
Mr. Sipple graduated with a B.A. in 1966 and a Masters in Public Administration in 1969 from the University of Georgia. He received a J.D., cum laude, from Mercer University Law School in 1972.
