At HunterMaclean, our Commercial Finance Group represents major national and international institutional lenders, as well as local banks, in negotiating, documenting and closing commercial loan transactions. Our attorneys have negotiated and closed finance loans for franchises such as Taco Bell, Burger King and Wendy's, along with a number of hotel chains.

Our commercial finance attorneys counsel the owners and operators of a number of major shopping centers, office buildings, office parks, inns, and apartment complexes in their leasing matters. In addition, our commercial finance team understands that costly lease disputes can be avoided by starting with a document that deals with these issues unambiguously, and which is tailored to each particular client's needs.

  • Representing a major developer of multi-family housing for low income residents throughout the Southeast. In the last five years we have handled over twenty projects in five states, including land acquisition, tax advantaged financing and related issues.
  • Negotiating and closing franchise finance loans involving franchises such as Taco Bell, Burger King and Wendy's, along with a number of hotel chains.
  • Negotiating subordination and non-disturbance agreements with credit tenants such as CVS, Food Lion, Starbucks, Hollywood Entertainment Corporation, and Barnes and Noble.
