ERISA and employee benefits attorney Rebecca Sczepanski presented to defined contribution plan managers and administrators at the 2015 Savannah Fiduciary Seminar held April 30, 2015. Her presentation, titled Meeting Fiduciary Duties, Reducing Liabilities, and Improving Effectiveness in 401(k) and Defined Contribution Plans, addressed how to identify state law and ERISA fiduciaries, legal issues regarding fiduciary status, updates on major fiduciary litigation, and best practices for avoiding or mitigating risks associated with fiduciary status related to retirement plans.
