We represent state and federally chartered banks, insurance companies, and other prominent financial institutions in numerous jurisdictions in structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing loans secured by real estate, equipment, accounts receivable, inventory, letters of credit, or other collateral. This involves, among other things, review and analysis of title reports, leases, surveys, and other third party reports. We also assist our lending clients in modifying, restructuring, servicing, and selling their loans after closing.
The partners in the commercial finance group have in the aggregate over 150 years of experience in handling a wide range of commercial real estate finance and general commercial finance matters. The group has represented nationally and internationally recognized institutional lenders, regional commercial banks, local commercial banks, privately owned businesses, and REITs in thousands of diverse lending transactions throughout the continental United States, including owner-occupied and credit tenant loan transactions involving various types of commercial properties, commercial real estate loans, working capital lines of credit, equipment loans, hedge transactions, and combinations of the foregoing. The commercial finance group’s involvement has included deal structuring, document preparation and negotiations, and coordination or review of due diligence analysis on matters such as leasing, zoning, environmental, survey, and title insurance issues. Many of these transactions involved properties in multiple jurisdictions, letters of credit, tenancies-in-common, ground leases, escrows, reserves, or other complex aspects.
