HunterMaclean partner David M. Burkoff was recently honored by Savannah Magazine and Business in Savannah as a 2016 Generation NEXT Rising Star of Business. Now in its sixth year, Generation NEXT highlights a select group of leaders under age 40 who have made significant contributions to the greater Savannah area. Generation NEXT recipients are nominated and selected based upon not only their professional achievements, but also their philanthropic service and involvement in the community.
Dave Burkoff practices in HunterMaclean’s litigation group and has extensive experience representing clients in civil litigation matters in Georgia, South Carolina, and throughout the United States. Recently named a partner in the firm, Dave focuses his practice primarily on disputes between or involving businesses in a wide range of industries including health care, hospitality, banking, education, entertainment, and more.
Dave’s involvement in the Savannah community reaches beyond his legal work. Among other activities, he serves on the board and executive committee of the West Broad Street YMCA and as a member of the Savannah Sports Council. Dave is a recent graduate of Leadership Savannah.
“Dave is not only an exceptional attorney, but also an outstanding member of the community,” said Frank S. Macgill, HunterMaclean’s managing partner. “The Firm values his meaningful contributions, and is pleased to see them recognized by Generation NEXT.”
Dave received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in New York City and graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School.
