PR News recently honored Abshire Public Relations with a prestigious 2009 Legal PR Award for developing and promoting the Critical Issues Forum on behalf of HunterMaclean, a leading law firm headquartered in Savannah. Jennifer Abshire Patterson, CEO of Abshire Public Relations, accepted the award at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on February 24, 2010.
Each year, PR News’ Legal PR Awards recognize top public relations professionals in categories ranging from crisis communications to social responsibility. The winners reflect the creativity, business savvy and media relations expertise of public relations firms worldwide.
Abshire Public Relations received the award in the area of Community Relations for its work with HunterMaclean in developing and promoting the Critical Issues Forum, which brings Savannah area business leaders together with political leaders to develop possible solutions for important community problems in areas such as transportation, education and economic development.
