HunterMaclean is pleased to welcome attorney David M. Burkoff to the firm’s Business Litigation Group.
Prior to joining HunterMaclean, Burkoff practiced law for nine years New York and Boston, most recently with WilmerHale, LLP, where he served as counsel in the firm’s Litigation/Controversy Department and Business Trial Group.
Burkoff’s prior experience includes a broad range of federal and state court litigation with a focus on business disputes. He has handled a wide variety of matters across multiple industries at all stages of the litigation process, including pre-suit counseling, discovery, mediations, settlements, trials and appeals. In 2010, he participated in the Advanced Advocates Program conducted by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) in Washington, D.C.
David is an accomplished litigator with a strong track record,” said Frank S. Macgill, HunterMaclean’s managing partner. “We’re delighted to welcome him to HunterMaclean and know that he will serve as a valuable addition to our Business Litigation Group.
Burkoff earned a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 2003 and a B.A. with honors in Political Science from Columbia University in 1999. In law school, he served on the editorial board of the Michigan Journal of International Law and interned with Human Rights Watch in New York and with the Public Defender’s Office in San Francisco.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Penn., Burkoff recently relocated with his family to Savannah from New York City.
