Attorney Rachel Young Fields has recently been named a partner at HunterMaclean, a leading business law firm with offices in Savannah and Brunswick. Fields, who joined the firm in 2007, primarily practices in the areas of business litigation, appellate practice, and intellectual property. In addition to handling all aspects of litigation, she counsels businesses and individuals on protecting and managing their intellectual property, including filing trademark and copyright applications.
A member of the State Bar of Georgia, Fields is admitted to practice in all courts of Georgia, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Savannah Bar Association. Fields serves on the board of directors of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia and is the co-chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia’s Leadership Academy, from which she graduated in 2011. She is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been named a Rising Star by Georgia Super Lawyers.
Fields earned her J.D. degree in 2007 from the University of Georgia School of Law, magna cum laude, and was on the Georgia Journal of Intellectual Property Law. She is a member of the Order of the Coif. In 2001, she received her B.A. in political science and theatre from Winthrop University, where she graduated cum laude. Fields serves on the board of directors and as resource development committee chair for Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity.
