Infinity, Inc. hosted a networking breakfast and panel discussion on Cyber Liability and Business Risk on February 19, 2020, at the Charles H. Morris Center. The event was attended by local business leaders and covered discussion on the less-considered aspects of liability in the digital age.
The panel was moderated by Infinity CEO Chuck Brown and included industry experts Cindy Robinett, Sterling Seacrest Partners; Nicole Pope, HunterMaclean; John McBride, Green Cloud Technologies; and Matt Scully, Datto.
“The laws, best practices, and—most importantly—the impacts of cyber security are ever-changing. They’re also growing,” said Brown. “We are excited to bring awareness to some of the issues affecting many local businesses. By continuing to promote education and preparation, we can better serve our clients and community.”
Cyber risk is an ongoing issue for many businesses and awareness is a key factor in preparation. For the first time ever, cyber incidents ranks as the most important business risk globally in the Allianz Risk Barometer 2020, relegating perennial top peril business interruption to second place. The Allianz Risk Barometer is an annual report identifying the top corporate risks for the next 12 months and beyond, based on the insight of more than 2,700 risk management experts from 102 countries and territories.
