Attorney Rachel C. Young, a member of HunterMaclean’s business litigation practice group, was recently inducted into the Order of the Coif, a prestigious honor society for U.S. law school graduates.
The Order of the Coif encourages excellence in legal education by fostering a spirit of careful study, recognizing those who attained a high grade of scholarship as law students, and honoring those who have attained high distinction for their scholarly or professional accomplishments as lawyers, judges and teachers. In order to qualify for inclusion in the organization, an attorney must earn a J.D. degree and graduate in the top 10 percent of his or her class.
A 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, Young earned her J.D. with magna cum laude honors. She currently serves as an associate at HunterMaclean and concentrates her practice in employment, benefits and intellectual property law.
While at the University of Georgia, she worked on the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and was a semi-finalist in the 2006 Talmadge Moot Court Competition. In 2001, she earned a B.A. in Political Science and Theatre from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., where she graduated cum laude.
