HunterMaclean, a leading business law firm with offices in Savannah and Brunswick, is pleased to announce that attorney Steve Monnier has been selected by the State Bar of Georgia to participate in 2012 Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy.
The Academy is a program for young lawyers interested in developing their leadership skills as well as learning more about their profession, their communities and their state. Selected through a competitive application process, the participants include attorneys in a wide range of practice areas from across the state.
Monnier is an associate in HunterMaclean’s Business Litigation group who focuses his practice on employment law and general business litigation. Originally from Rochester, N.Y., he earned a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2009 and graduated summa cum laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006 with a B.S. in Public Policy and a B.S. in International Affairs.
The Leadership Academy is a nationally-recognized program. In 2008, it was
awarded first place in the nation in the Minority Project Category during the
American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Awards of Achievement Program.
Leadership Academy alumni have gone on to be elected to the State Bar Board of Governors, recognized on the Fulton County Daily Report’s “On the Rise—10 to Watch” list and named as Rising Stars by Atlanta Magazine.
