HunterMaclean partner Ted Henneman was recently honored with the State Bar of Georgia’s 2013 A Business Commitment Pro Bono Award, which recognizes exceptional business law pro bono contributions in Georgia.
Henneman practices in the area of real estate development, with a focus on affordable housing and financing through the use of I.R.C. § 42 Tax Credits. He represents profit, nonprofit and 501(c)(3) companies in the development of affordable, multifamily housing and mixed-use projects.
The State Bar of Georgia Access to Justice Committee and the State Bar of Georgia Pro Bono Project recognized Henneman for his service as a member of the advisory committee charged with creating a housing trust fund for the City of Savannah. He will be presented the award at a reception at State Bar of Georgia in October.
This accomplished attorney has more than 18 years experience in the field of affordable housing financing through the use of federal and state tax credits. In addition, he has experience closing HUD-supported mixed financed projects and tax-exempt bond financed projects. He has vast experience in real estate matters and is an authorized title insurance agent.
Henneman received his B.A. from Colgate University in 1989 and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1994. He is a member of the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition, the Savannah Bar Association and the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.
