Livestream Broadcast Available for Second Annual Savannah Logistics Lunch

July 12, 2016

The Savannah Logistics Lunch, co-presented by the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Center of Innovation for Logistics and HunterMaclean, will take place Thursday, July 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Armstrong Center on the Armstrong State University campus. The Logistics Lunch has sold out, but organizers will make the event available through a livestream feed.

The Savannah Logistics Lunch provides a regional, in-depth focus from the annual Georgia Logistics Summit. The 2015 inaugural Logistics Lunch filled the original venue capacity of 200 attendees. This year the event moved locations to expand 60% in capacity, but has also filled with over 300 attendees. The livestream feed provides an opportunity to experience the event from any computer or mobile device.

In order to access the livestream feed, viewers should log on to www.georgia.org/logisticslunch on the day of the event.

Opening remarks will be given by Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Chris Carr and Center of Innovation for Logistics Director Jannine Miller. HunterMaclean attorney Chris “Smitty” Smith will serve as moderator of the keynote panel, which will focus on Technology and Transportation.

Topics of discussion will include the various state-of-the-art technologies that are currently being implemented at the Georgia Ports Authority, impending technology such as truck platooning and dynamic sequencing, and the ever-changing use of technology needed to increase productivity and streamline communications within the logistics industry.
