The Savannah Technical College Foundation Community Council recognized 20 of Savannah’s business and civic leaders during its 2014 Tribute to Community STARS held today in the Eckburg Auditorium on the college campus.
The event, in its eighth year, honored the individuals for their service and dedication at work or in the community while raising funds for the foundation’s scholarship fund.
“This event has become a wonderful tradition for our community,” said Gail Eubanks, Savannah Tech’s executive director of institutional advancement and communication. “The people being honored are amazing, and the sponsors are very generous. Because funds raised support scholarships, Savannah Technical College students benefit directly.”
