Victoria Nease is an associate in HunterMaclean’s litigation practice group, where she represents clients in a broad range of general and commercial litigation. Her practice areas include maritime law, transportation and logistics, healthcare law, and personal injury litigation.
A Savannah native, Victoria graduated cum laude from Georgia Southern University’s Armstrong campus in 2016. She received a B.S. in Psychology and served alongside faculty as a research assistant. Before attending law school, Victoria worked as a licensed Georgia Property and Casualty Insurance agent for her family’s insurance brokerage firm, handling client accounts in the specialized field of commercial trucking and towing insurance.
Victoria earned her J.D. from Mercer University School of Law in 2021. While in law school, she competed in the Mercer Law Hugh Lawson Moot Court Competition and was a finalist in the Mercer Law Closing Argument Competition, which earned her an invitation to Mercer’s Moot Court Competition Team and Mock Trial Competition Team. Victoria went on to compete in the National All Star Bracket Challenge Competition in 2020 and the American Association for Justice’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition in 2021.
As a law student, Victoria interned for State Court Judge Hermann W. Coolidge, Jr., and Chief Judge Gregory V. Sapp of the Eastern Judicial Circuit during the summer of 2019. She also earned a Certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research and Drafting and served as president of the Mercer Advocacy Council’s 2020–2021 Executive Board. Upon completion of her J.D., Victoria was recognized for her accomplishments in advocacy and inducted into the Order of Barristers, a nationally recognized honor society.
Victoria is currently a member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers, the Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association, and the Animal Legal Defense Fund. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Georgia, the U.S. Southern District of Georgia, the U.S. Middle District of Georgia, and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Outside of the office, she and her husband, Sam Ullyott, enjoy renovating their 1950’s home, spending time with their dog, and volunteering with local shelters to help animals in need.
• Successfully represented a maritime client in trial, securing dismissal of the plaintiff’s claims and obtaining full damages for the client.
